Development and Production of a Control Unit for Mobile C-Arcs
Challenge
For a series of newly developed mobile X-ray systems, a solution was needed that would allow the operator to control the C-arm and its four motorized axes easily and precisely from within the sterile field. The so-called “Position Control Center” had to be integrated into the device’s overall usability concept and meet the necessary functional safety requirements.
Solution
As a specialist in the development and production of HMI systems, SASSE was able to offer a one-stop solution. Based on jointly developed specifications, SASSE handled the mechanical and electronic design, while Ziehm implemented the firmware. A consistent “design-to-manufacture” approach resulted in a component that is highly user-friendly.
